Legalisation is used when a document must be submitted in a country where the Hague apostille procedure does not apply, or when a specific authority requires it.
How is legalisation different from an apostille?
An apostille is a single certificate under the Hague Convention. Legalisation usually requires a sequence of authentications in the issuing country and later by the diplomatic mission or another competent authority of the destination country.
What do we need for an assessment?
- a clear copy and the type of document;
- the destination country and receiving authority;
- the required language and deadline;
- confirmation that the original is available.
Not sure which procedure applies?
Send a photo of the document and tell us where it will be used. We will confirm the procedure, price and realistic timeline before any work begins.
